Oak Hollow Ranch started with 4 confused city people and a chicken. We have grown so much since then, and I will always be grateful for those three little chicks who showed me how farm life works. My first hen ever, Cookie, is now 11 years old and still lays a beautiful sky-blue egg a few times each spring. Our flock of chickens slowly grew over the years, and we couldn't have a pond without a flock of ducks and a goose! Our family loves eggs, and we strive to have some of the brightest yolked and most nutritious eggs around. At one time we had a thriving chicken egg business and many happy healthy hens. Unfortunately, hungry cats and coyotes have taken their toll. We now keep a smaller flock in a portable hoop coop to feed our own family. We have a variety of breeds and love each and every one of them! We have about 25 chickens right now, 11 ducks, and 1 goose. We get over a dozen eggs a day from our birds during Spring and Summer. Our farm, and my breakfast, would not be complete without them. :)
